Growing the Future of our City ( GFC )

Year: 2011 – 2013

GFC installation studies  explore the living hybrid – “bambusa major multiplex – Living Hybrid Walkways ” and features cascading models for garden paths reaching out and interlocking from a large diorama rendering/photo mural of bambusa major multiplex. The models for walkways are filled with wheat grass harvested to provide juice – a gesture suggestive of the 1982 ‘Wheatfield – A Confrontation”” project by Agnes Denes in lower New York where 2 acres of wheat were planted then harvested for making bread. The high concentration of chlorophyll in wheat grass provides many health benefits including plant based visionary enhancement.
Drawings are color pencil on hemp paper.
